WHITEbIRD Second Hand
Give your designer jewellery a new life
WHITEbIRD Second Hand is an elegant, ethical and responsible way to pass on a piece of jewellery you no longer wear. We give it back its place — within the setting of a house renowned for its exacting standards, taste and curated selection.
Our Second Hand service allows you to:
- give new value to a distinctive piece while embracing a more circular approach to jewellery;
- evolve your WHITEbIRD jewellery collection by using the proceeds from pieces you no longer wear towards new creations.
Would you like to entrust us with a piece?
Discover how our Second Hand service works.
1. Submit your jewellery to our team
You can send your request by email to secondhand@whitebirdjewellery.com, including:
- your contact details;
- a description of the piece: designer, category, materials and condition;
- high-quality photographs from at least three different angles;
- the original proof of purchase;
- your desired selling price.
Alternatively, you may bring your jewellery directly to one of our boutiques, where our team will take it in for evaluation.
We consider jewellery:
- crafted in a minimum of 14-carat gold, platinum or silver, with an original purchase value of at least €500;
- by designers currently represented by WHITEbIRD or previously part of our selection.
Meeting these criteria does not guarantee acceptance. WHITEbIRD reserves the right to select the pieces included in its Second Hand offering.
2. Authentication, evaluation and sale
Our team will review your submission within a maximum of one week.
If your jewellery meets our selection criteria, we will retain it if it has been submitted in one of our boutiques, or invite you to send it to us via secure shipping at your expense.
Each piece then undergoes an authentication and quality assessment. Should its condition require restoration or repair, this may be offered to you at your expense and subject to a quotation. Should you choose not to proceed, the piece will be returned to you.
Following this assessment, we will agree with you on a selling price that reflects both the piece and the second-hand market.
Once the price has been approved, your jewellery will join the WHITEbIRD Second Hand selection. It will be displayed in a dedicated space in our boutiques and, in most cases, on our website.
Your jewellery is entrusted to WHITEbIRD for a minimum period of 3 months from the date it is offered for sale. Unless otherwise agreed in advance with WHITEbIRD, it cannot be withdrawn during this initial period.
If the piece remains unsold after the first three months, you may choose to collect it or extend the consignment for a further 3 months. WHITEbIRD reserves the right not to extend the consignment beyond this period.
After 6 months, should the piece remain unsold, we will agree together on the next step: extending the sale period for an agreed length of time or returning the jewellery to you.
3. Receive your WHITEbIRD credit
Once your jewellery has been sold and the statutory 14-day withdrawal period has expired, you will receive WHITEbIRD credit corresponding to the agreed selling price, less a 15% commission.
The value of the credit cannot exceed the original purchase price of the jewellery.
