Ileana Makri

Since 1998, Greek designer Ileana Makri has been creating jewellery as a bridge between cultures, eras and emotions. Fascinated by gemstones from an early age, she followed her calling by studying jewellery design at the GIA in Santa Monica, before launching her first collection – immediately spotted by Barneys New York. A true globetrotter, she now divides her time between Greece, India, Paris, London and New York. Her designs reflect this intuitive, sensitive approach, shaped by diverse landscapes, craftsmanship and symbolism. For Ileana Makri, jewellery goes beyond aesthetics: it becomes a philosophy rooted in nature, history and the beauty of everyday life. Each piece is made in Greece, in her Athens atelier, in close collaboration with master artisans. From the selection of exceptional stones to the precision of the handwork, every jewel is an ode to craftsmanship. Some creations are also produced in India, alongside the local talents Ileana celebrates. Over the years, she has built a global community of free spirits drawn to her vision of discreet, personal luxury.
