Lito Fine Jewelry

Lito Karakostanoglou opened her “Open Studio” in Athens in 1999, showcasing primarily one-off styles using a variety of materials. Lito was originally trained in Boston for marketing management and advertising. Despite being self-taught in jewellery and in light of her success in Athens, she wanted to further enhance her craftsmanship, so she moved to Paris in 2004. For two years, Lito studied sculpture and life drawings at the Ecole des Beaux Arts as well as technical drawing for jewellery at the Ecole du Louvre. During that time, she created pieces for Kenzo and Jean Paul Gaultier while also designing handbag charms for Zadig & Voltaire. Lito returned to Athens in 2007 to re-open her shop, much to the joy of her loyal clientele, inspired this time by the concept of the “Cabinets of Curiosities”. Design emanates from the properties of her chosen materials themselves rather than following some abstract notion. Gold embraces semi-precious stones and natural materials like corals and shells. Each piece retains its own energy and purpose.

Lito Fine Jewelry

Founded in Athens in 1999, Lito Karakostanoglou’s work centres on one-of-a-kind pieces shaped by the inherent qualities of materials. After initial training in marketing, she refined her practice in Paris at the École des Beaux-Arts and the École du Louvre. Gold, semi-precious stones and natural elements such as corals and shells come together in jewellery conceived as modern curiosities, each piece carrying its own presence and intention.
