Tourmaline
La tourmaline tire son nom du mot cingalais turmali, “pierre aux couleurs mêlées”, une référence directe à la diversité exceptionnelle de ses variétés — plus de trente, allant des tons les plus sobres aux combinaisons les plus étonnantes. Parmi elles : l’elbaïte, déclinée en bleu, vert, rose ou incolore, et la célèbre tourmaline “pastèque”, rose au centre et verte en périphérie.
Présente dans des gisements situés en Afghanistan, au Mozambique, au Brésil, à Madagascar, en Russie ou encore aux États-Unis, la tourmaline est l’une des pierres les plus polyvalentes du monde minéral.
De nombreuses traditions lui attribuent des vertus protectrices et équilibrantes. En Afrique, chez certains peuples amérindiens et dans les communautés aborigènes d’Australie, elle est considérée comme un talisman capable d’absorber les énergies négatives.
