More than a jewellery brand, WWAKE is a chain of connections — linking the earth, the artisans, and those who wear its pieces. Wing Yau founded the New York-based house in 2012 to reimagine heirloom jewellery through a minimalist and deeply intentional lens.
After studying sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design, she brought her refined sensibility to jewellery, creating delicate, ethereal forms. Inspired by the ephemeral — starlight, rippling water — she shapes airy compositions that play with space and light in intuitive ways. In her Brooklyn studio, a team of passionate women craft each piece with care, so that the jewels seem to float on the skin — like a shifting, intimate constellation.
Wing’s ethical commitment runs through every detail. WWAKE uses only recycled vintage-cut diamonds and Fairmined or 100% recycled gold, all refined within the United States. The brand sources its signature opals exclusively from family-run mines in Australia, ensuring full traceability and fair trade practices. Each stone is hand-selected for its unique glow and positive impact — creating jewellery that is as meaningful within as it is on the outside.
