Sarah Appleton’s jewellery is an architecture of movement — a quiet space where form meets essence.
Originally from the United States, she has lived in Paris since 2012. Her roots lie deep in a family heritage shaped by the Bonebakkers, master goldsmiths for over two centuries. As a child, she watched her mother shape metal by hand and discovered her uncle’s jewellery, informed by ancestral Native American techniques. She later trained in New York, then honed her craft in the workshops of Parisian high jewellery.
Sarah is drawn to the nearly imperceptible details of everyday life — a line, a colour, a fleeting reflection, the geometry of the ordinary. She explores human connection and the dialogue between body, art, architecture and nature, translating these balances into jewellery with refined, understated elegance.
From her Paris atelier, she works with 18k recycled gold, shaping each piece with organic precision. Her marquise-cut “navette” rings, airy chains, and minimal forms reflect a modern, fluid aesthetic rooted in the everyday. Each stone is sourced and selected with care, in line with a responsible and conscious vision of the art of jewellery.
