Julie Cohn

Julie Cohn was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the early 60s. A reflective individual from a young age, she found solace in art, feeling a deep connection to it. Initially focusing on painting and printmaking, she explored various artistic mediums, from rugs to textiles, incorporating natural elements into her work. In 2011, she launched her first jewellery collection, the culmination of her diverse and rich universe, reflecting her commitment to artisanal creation. Based in Dallas, Julie Cohn is a multidisciplinary designer whose unique vision and aesthetics are characterized by the interplay between the raw and the refined, the primitive and the modern. As a self-taught jewellery artist, she prefers an unconventional approach, working directly with materials like bronze, silver, and pearls, drawing inspiration from nature, primitive ethnic shapes, traditional craftsmanship, and ancient processes to create pieces that encourage layering and personal expression. Her studio in Dallas, Texas, is also an artistic collective where she mentors young creators, guiding them in their artistic careers. Her home, located near White Rock Lake, mirrors her creative vision, embodying her love for nature, art, and design. Alongside her husband, landscape architect David Rolston, and their daughter Mila, Julie leads a life filled with creativity, beauty, and a continuous search for meaning.
