Aliita has created its own precious alphabet. Letters, dinosaurs, little ghosts, enamelled characters and lucky charms: each miniature becomes a message, a small token to give to someone else or keep for yourself. In Wayuu, the ancestral language of the Guajiro people of Venezuela, aliita means “important object”. The name perfectly captures the vision of Cynthia Vilchez Castiglioni, the Venezuelan founder who trained in Italy and sees jewellery as something personal and talismanic. Each collection explores a new obsession, always with the same signature: a simple, instantly recognisable motif, almost childlike in spirit, made precious through the finesse of its craftsmanship and the message it carries.
