Founded in Montreal in 2015, Nina Janvier’s eponymous brand brings a fresh perspective to pearl jewellery. From her studio, the Normandy-born designer has developed a world of her own: pieces designed to transform, layer and evolve, created for those who see their life as a work of art.
Each jewel is handcrafted in silver, gold-plated brass, gemstones and pearls, guided by a distinctive thread: that slightly offbeat detail, that unexpected touch of colour that sparks curiosity and invites a smile. Her modular designs play with contrast and asymmetry, blending traditional craftsmanship with a resolutely modern aesthetic. An approach that is both artisanal and design-led, rooted in a vision of conscious jewellery, and recognised internationally, from Japan to France, Switzerland, Belgium and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
Her Marinera collection, inspired by Normandy’s chalk cliffs and images of rough seas, reimagines the pearl necklace with playful elegance and a pop sensibility. At its heart, the Soga necklaces, signature pieces of the brand: baroque pearls, onyx, jade or sodalite, to be worn alone or layered, lengthened or shortened thanks to their ingenious magnetic clasp.
