The WHITEbIRD Portraits
In WHITEbIRD’s orbit are those who shape the world with taste, vision and intuition. Stéphanie Roger, founder of the Maison, is a curator at heart. While her eye is rooted in contemporary jewellery, her curiosity extends far beyond – to all forms of art, design and craft. Through this portrait series, WHITEbIRD shines a light on artists, designers and creators — seekers of beauty, shapers of form, inventors of the everyday. Each of them inspires us, and many share our way of seeing the world: with sensitivity, intention, and precision.
Between art de vivre, jewellery crushes, savoir-faire and hidden Parisian gems, discover the people behind the WHITEbIRD portraits.
Pauline Vincent – A natural instinct for beauty
At 40 rue de Varenne, a window catches the eye. Colourful scarola-shaped plates, vases with inviting curves, interiors objects somewhere between functional and poetic. This is La Romaine Éditions, the newly opened boutique by Pauline Vincent. Launched in 2025 just steps from our own WHITEBIRD Rive Gauche address, this luminous space embodies a vision of beauty that resonates deeply with our own: bold, sensitive, and beautifully grounded.
At WHITEbIRD, we love weaving lasting ties with our neighbours in the 7th arrondissement. Pauline is one of those figures subtly redrawing the map — with a rare sense of rhythm and flair. Founder of La Romaine Éditions and former curator at Lafayette Anticipations, she carries a unique eye: one that can connect a Bordallo Pinheiro Portuguese vase with a drawing by Sottsass, or a hand-embroidered tablecloth with a childhood memory. Each collection at La Romaine Éditions brings an artistic and colourful twist to everyday life.
Created during the 2021 lockdown, La Romaine Éditions offers a fresh take on artisanal home design. A lifestyle built around curated objects, thoughtful gestures, and reimagined essentials. Far from fleeting trends, Pauline composes a joyful, finely balanced inventory — mixing French designers, independent editors and handmade finds spotted on Instagram. A coherent patchwork, where an enamelled ceramic carafe might converse with a hand-blown glass tray.
Her eye? It was shaped in the backrooms of her grandmothers’ Parisian décor shops — surrounded by silk textiles, vintage crockery and sculptural lamps. Add to that a business degree, training at Institut Français de la Mode, a background in fashion buying and later in art curation, and you begin to understand the finely tuned intuition behind it all.
La Romaine Éditions is all of that: a table laid like a manifesto, a living gallery of form, where every detail tells a story. A mermaid hidden in a dish. A lamp in raw clay. A quiet yet resolute tribute to craft and creation. Pauline Vincent doesn’t dictate, but gently suggests another way of living with objects — freer, more sensual, deeply felt. In this shared pursuit of meaningful beauty, our worlds connect.
